Monthly you should:
Change Air Conditioning Filters
Inspect and clean kitchen hood vent filter
Check that Fire Extinguishers are fully charged
Test smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors
Every 3 months you should:
Test GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters) outlets. If they do not trip, contact your electrician.
Clean aerators on faucets
Inspect and clean gutters
Every 6 months you should:
Clean lint from behind clothes dryer and vacuum exhaust duct
Inspect and repair caulk in wet areas
Check siding, flashing, eaves, and soffits for damage and repair as necessary
Ensure garage doors are operating properly and safety feature is working properly
Annually you should:
Drain and refill your hot water heater
Test safety valve on hot water heater
Sharpen garbage disposal blades by running ice through the disposal
Ensure your lawn and surrounding areas are draining properly
