Celebrate Memorial Day at Your New Home

Now that you are settled into your new home in Phenix City, AL it is time to plan your Memorial Day festivities! If you prefer to stay close for the holidays, there are plenty of fun and patriotic things to do to celebrate this important holiday.

If you and your neighbors have small kids, coordinating a Memorial Day Parade is a fantastic way to celebrate. Get all the kids to decorate their bikes and skooters with red, white and blue and give out top prizes for the most creative, most patriotic and split up into age groups depending on the size of your community. Of course adults can participate too!

Whether you decide to join in on a parade or not, gather some neighbors together to plan a neighborhood cook out where you can get volunteers for the grills and other volunteers to bring side dishes, desserts and drinks.
